Replacing the spark arrestor
The spark arrestor was a very visually significant feature of the engine so we had patterns made and cast replacements for the broken parts.
The patented spark arrestor was hyped in advertising for these engines. It forced a sharp turn in the path of the exhaust where any embers were intended to drop into water held in the casting.
